1612.02  ESTABLISHMENT AND DUTIES OF THE FIRE PREVENTION BUREAU.
   (a)   The Fire Prevention Code shall be enforced by the Bureau of Fire Prevention in the Fire Department, which is hereby established and is under the supervision of the Chief of the Fire Department.
   (b)   The Chief in charge of the Bureau of Fire Prevention shall be the Chief of the Fire Department.
   (c)   The Fire Chief may detail such members of the Fire Department as Fire Inspectors as shall from time to time be necessary.
   (d)   The Bureau of Fire Prevention shall have as its primary duty, the enforcement of the Ohio Revised Code, Fire Prevention Code, and the Village Ordinances under its jurisdiction. It shall be the duty of the members of the Fire Prevention Bureau to cause the correction of hazardous conditions, issue warning notices, citations and/or cause the arrest of any person violating the provisions of the Fire Prevention Code, and to prosecute such offenders before the proper courts and while so detailed, shall have limited powers of Police Officer.
   (e)   A report of the Bureau of Fire Prevention shall be made annually and transmitted to the Mayor, it shall contain all proceedings under this code, with statistics as the Chief of the Fire Department may wish to include therein; the Chief of the Fire Department shall also recommend any amendments to the Code which in their judgment shall be desirable.
