No person, firm or corporation engaged in any business or calling, or in the purchase, sale or disposition of any article or thing whatsoever, or carrying on any kind of business, shall call out or have anyone call out such business or purchase, sell or dispose of any such article or thing whatsoever or attempt to do so, or pursue any such business, upon any public sidewalk, street, highway or public place, or solicit from persons upon such sidewalk, street or highway any such trade, business or calling, or offensively conduct any such trade, business or calling upon any premises adjacent to any sidewalk, street, highway or public place, or have any other person do so for him or them; and no person shall so conduct any such business, trade or calling for any other person, firm or corporation.
