660.15  HOTELS AND MOTELS REGISTRATION CARDS REQUIRED.
   (a)   No person who is the owner, operator, or employee of any hotel or motel within the village shall do any of the following:
      (1)   Rent a room at a rate charged or assessed at any rate other than a single day as a unit price;
      (2)   Rent any room without first completing a registration card showing the name and address of each person renting a room, the state and license plate number of any motor vehicle used by the person renting the room and parked on the hotel or motel premises, the form of identification used by the person renting the room in a reasonable attempt by the hotel or motel owner, operator, or employee to verify identification, and the name of the person completing the registration card for the hotel or motel;
      (3)   Fail to maintain the registration cards required by division (a)(2) of this section for a period of at least one year; or
      (4)   Fail to make all registration cards available for inspection to state, county, or local law enforcement officials with jurisdiction within the village upon reasonable notice.
   (b)   Whoever violates division (a)(1) of this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor.  Whoever violates divisions (a)(2), (a)(3) or (a)(4) of this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree.
