618.17 ANIMALS DAMAGING PROPERTY.

(a) (1) No person owning, harboring or having charge of any dog or other animal shall permit such animal to run at large so as to do damage to gardens, lawns, shrubbery or other public or private property.

(2) Violations of this section shall be by affidavit of complaint of any owner of property damaged by any animal.

(b) Whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor. Punishment shall be as provided in Section 698.02.
