ORDINANCE NO. 2462
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ERLANGER IN KENTON COUNTY KENTUCKY APPROVING AND ADOPTING A SUPPLEMENT TO THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY.
   WHEREAS, American Legal Publishing Corporation of Cincinnati, Ohio (ALP) has completed the 2017 S-1 Supplement to the Code of Ordinances of the City of Erlanger (Code), which updates the Code through Ordinance 2454 since the revision thereof pursuant to KRS 83A.060(11) that was adopted by Ordinance 2451; and
   WHEREAS, ALP has recommended the revision or addition of certain sections of the Code that are based on or make reference to sections of the Kentucky Revised Statutes; and
   WHEREAS, it is the intent of the City Council of the City of Erlanger to accept the previously described supplementation, revisions, deletions and additions so that the Erlanger Code of Ordinances will be current through Ordinance 2454 and won't have any obsolete, inconsistent or invalid provisions, and will be in conformity with state law;
   NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF ERLANGER IN KENTON COUNTY, KENTUCKY AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.0 – Adoption of 2017 S-1 Supplement to the Code of Ordinances
   The 2017 S-1 Supplement to the Code of Ordinances of the City of Erlanger, as prepared by ALP, is hereby made a part of the permanent records of the City of Erlanger and adopted by reference as if fully set forth herein pursuant to KRS 83A.050(5).
Section 2.0 – Provisions Severable
   The provisions of this ordinance and the codification adopted thereby are severable; and the invalidity of any provision of this ordinance or that codification shall not affect the validity of any other provision of this ordinance or that codification; and such other provisions shall remain in full force and effect as long as they remain valid in the absence of those provisions determined to be invalid.
Section 3.0 – Conflicting Ordinances Repealed
   All previous ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance or the codification adopted hereby are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 4.0 – Effective Date
   This ordinance shall be effective as soon as possible according to law.
Section 5.0 – Publication
   This ordinance shall be published in summary pursuant to KRS 83A.060 (9).

   NARRATIVE: Ordinance No. 2462 of the City of Erlanger was enacted by the City on January 2, 2018; and it is an ordinance which adopts by reference the 2017 S-1 Supplement to the Erlanger Code of Ordinances which updates the Code through Ordinance No. 2454.
   FINES, PENALTIES, FORFEITURES, TAXES OR FEES: No section of Erlanger Ordinance No. 2462 imposes any tax or fee.
