9-4-2: USE REGULATIONS:
A building or premises shall be used only for the following purposes:
Any use permitted in the A residence district.
Bakery whose products are sold at retail on the premises.
Bank.
Barbershop or beauty parlor.
Business or commercial school, or dancing or music academy.
Catering establishment.
Class IV garage, except that the repair or storage portion of such building shall occupy not more than fifty percent (50%) of the total floor area and shall not be less than thirty feet (30') from the front of the building, and no lot or portion thereof shall be used for the display of used cars, except that the display of not to exceed ten (10) used cars on premises used primarily for the sale of new automobiles shall be permitted.
Electric and shoe repair shops.
Filling stations.
Hospitals and clinics for animals, but not open kennels.
Messenger or telegraph service station.
Office.
Painting and decorating shop.
Photograph gallery.
Recreation or amusement building.
Restaurant.
Sales or show room.
Service establishments.
Store for the collection and distribution of laundry and dry cleaning articles, but not for the treatment, cleaning or processing of such articles.
Store or shop for the conduct of a retail business.
Tailor shop.
Theater, except open air drive-in theaters; provided, however, that no theater shall be erected or reconstructed unless there is provided on the same lot, or within three hundred feet (300') thereof, parking space which contains an area adequate to accommodate one automobile for every five (5) seats in the theater.
Tire repair shop.
Undertaking establishment.
Accessory buildings and uses customarily incident to the above uses, including a sign or a bulletin board relating only to services, articles and products offered within the building to which the sign is attached.
Any building used primarily for any of the above enumerated purposes may have not more than forty percent (40%) of the floor area devoted to industry or storage purposes incidental to such primary use; provided, that not more than five (5) employees shall be engaged at any time on the premises in such incidental use.
