8-2-1: NO PARKING PLACES:
It shall be unlawful at any time to permit any vehicle to stand in any of the following places, except when necessary to avoid conflict with other traffic or in compliance with the directions of a village police officer or traffic signs or signals:
   (A)   In any intersection.
   (B)   In a crosswalk.
   (C)   Within thirty feet (30') of a traffic sign or a through street sign on the approaching side.
   (D)   Within twenty feet (20') of any intersection.
   (E)   At any place where the standing of a vehicle will reduce the usable width of the roadway for moving traffic to less than eighteen feet (18').
   (F)   At any curb within five feet (5') of a fire hydrant, unless such vehicle is in charge of some person capable of driving and is in the vehicle.
   (G)   At any place where the vehicle would block the use of a driveway.
   (H)   Within fifty feet (50') of the nearest rail of a railroad grade crossing.
   (I)   Within twenty feet (20') of the driveway entrance to any fire department station and on the side of the street opposite the entrance to any such station within seventy five feet (75') of such entrance.
   (J)   On any sidewalk or parkway.
   (K)   At any place where official signs prohibit parking.
   (L)   Continuous standing of a vehicle on a highway or any parking area for a period of twenty four (24) hours shall be prima facie evidence of abandonment and the village police shall have power to remove same to some garage. (Ord. 143, 2-10-1954)
