5-2-6: DANGEROUS DOGS OR CATS:
It shall be unlawful for the owner of any dog or cat to permit or suffer such animal, by reason of its dangerous, fierce, or vicious nature, to disturb the peace of any person in the village. Any dog or cat so doing or any dog or cat that shall bite any person or injure any person shall be declared a public nuisance, and it shall be the duty of all police officers of the village to take up such dog or cat and cause said dog or cat to be impounded in accordance with the provisions of section 5-2-8 of this chapter.
