921.99 PENALTY.
   (a)    Violation of the following will result in a maximum fine of fifty dollars ($50.00) to five hundred dollars ($500.00) and a maximum of sixty days imprisonment, or both:
      (1)    Interference with operation of fire hydrants, valves, or other appliances attached to the water system (wells, towers, mains, service lines, etc.) with intent to cause unauthorized escape of water or to cause injury, destruction, or contamination.
   (b)   Violation of the following will result in a maximum fine of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) to two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) maximum of thirty days imprisonment, or both:
      (1)    Unauthorized connection to the water system (illegal tap).
      (2)    Tampering with or removing a water meter.
      (3)    Unauthorized installation of a meter by-pass device.
      (4)    Opening, operating, or tampering with any meter box, valve, or other device which has been closed for any reason by the Water Works Department.
   (c)   Violation of the following will result in a maximum fine of one hundred dollars ($100.00):
      (1)    Violation of all other Water Works Department regulations.
