1331.14 UNSAFE BUILDING ORDERS.
   (a)   A report of findings shall be prepared by the Engineer and/or health department official and provided to the Village officials for review. The Administrator or designee may then serve on the owner, agent or person in control of the building a written order herein referred to as an “Unsafe Building Order”. Such orders shall:
      (1)   Designate the building or structure;
      (2)   Describe the repairs or improvements required to render the building or structure safe, secure, sanitary, and meeting minimum standards;
      (3)   Order that repairs or improvements be made within 30 days of serving the order (or up to 90 days depending on the amount of work needing to be done);
      (4)   State the penalties that will follow unless the work is done.
   (b)   If, due to weather, contractual problems, or other cause, there are practical difficulties in carrying out the provisions of this code within the specified time, the Village Administrator, and/or Zoning Inspector, and/or Police Chief shall have the authority to grant modifications as long as such modifications are in compliance with the intent and purpose of this code and do not lessen health, life and safety requirements. Details of the action granting modification shall be recorded.
