(a) The appointed position of Village Fiscal Officer is hereby created upon the passage of this Ordinance, who shall perform the duties of the Clerk-Treasurer as provided by law and such other duties consistent with the duties of the offices as are provided by municipal ordinance.
(b) The Village Fiscal Officer shall be appointed by the Mayor, but such appointment shall not become effective until approved by a majority vote of this Council. The Village Fiscal Officer may be removed at any time without cause by the Mayor with the consent of a majority of this Council or may be removed by a three-fourths (3/4) vote of Council without the consent of the Mayor.
(c) The Village Fiscal Officer need not be a resident of the Village at the time of appointment, but shall become a resident within six (6) months thereafter unless an ordinance is passed approving the Fiscal Officer’s residence outside of this Village.
