10-9-6: STAGE RESTRICTIONS:
   A.   Stage I – Normal daily demand:
      1.   All restrictions set forth in section 10-9-4 , "General Conservation", of this chapter remain in effect.
   B.   Stage II:
      1.   Voluntary restrictions.
      2.   No bulk water sales.
   C.   Stage III:
      1.   Watering is limited to three (3) days per week in accordance with the following schedule:
         a.   Properties with even number addresses may water on Tuesday-Thursday-Saturday.
         b.   Properties with odd-numbered addresses may water on Wednesday-Friday-Sunday.
         c.   Public Parks may water on Monday-Wednesday-Friday.
      2.   No bulk water sales.
      3.   No washing of pavement or other hard surfaces or buildings unless with bucket water for safety or sanitation purposes.
      4.   Car washing is prohibited except at commercial car wash facilities.
      5.   Exterior water features must be turned off.
   D.   Stage IV - Extreme Water Shortage: If a proclamation declaring a stage IV water shortage is issued, the following restrictions become effective immediately:
      1.   All stage III restrictions remain in effect.
      2.   All outdoor watering is prohibited: public or private, for gardens, lawns, trees, shrubs, plants, parks, golf courses, playing fields, swimming pools or other recreational areas.
      3.   No new landscaping is permitted.
      4.   New turf planting is prohibited.
      5.   Washing of motor vehicles, boats, trailers, pavement or the exterior of any building or structure is prohibited.
   E.   Exceptions: The following exceptions apply to both stage III and stage IV restrictions:
      1.   A commercial outdoor water use permit may be issued by the Public Works Department to businesses that cannot maintain their operations without the use of outdoor water.
      2.   Aquatic invasive species (AIS) trailer/boat decontamination.
      3.   New sod or turf and seeding of lawns installed before Stage III restrictions may be exempt from water restrictions for thirty (30) days.
      4.   Drip irrigation systems for gardens.
      5.   Hand watering with a hose with a positive shut off device (sprayer). (Ord. 158-2023, 7-27-2023)
