The mayor and chief of police may authorize reserve police officers. A reserve officer must meet the qualifications and training for appointment as a reserve police officer as prescribed in the Montana Code Annotated for reserve police officers. Reserve police officers are subject to the limitations and restrictions imposed by the Montana Code Annotated. Reserve police officers serve at the pleasure of the chief of police and may be terminated at any time by the chief of police by written notification without any cause. (Ord. 137, 12-8-2011)
