The provisions of this chapter shall not limit the liability of any person who erects or owns any sign from personal injury or property damage resulting from the placing of a sign, or resulting from the negligence or wilful acts of such person or his/her agents, employees or workers, in the construction, maintenance, repair, or removal of any sign erected in accordance with a permit issued under the provisions of this chapter. The provisions of this chapter shall not impose upon the town of Ennis, its officers, employees, or planning board, any responsibility or liability by reason of the approval of any sign.
