A. Monthly Charges: The monthly charges for water will be based on:
Established base rate + water usage = monthly water charge
B. Base Rate: The base rate for water is established according to the service line size. The charge for water, according to the monthly meter reading, is charged at a rate per one thousand (1,000) gallons of water used.
C. Annual Review And Adjustment Of Rates And Charges: The base rate and monthly usage charge will be set by the town commission, reviewed annually and adjusted when necessary. Any changes in the rates/charges will be done by resolution.
D. Nonuse Of Premises: Owner or designated receiver will be required to pay the base rate for water during periods of complete nonuse of premises to meet debt obligation.
E. Public Hearing For Rate Adjustment: Prior to any water rate adjustments by town commission, under resolution, a public hearing must be conducted. (Per motion dated 3-12-2009)
