5-2-14: KENNEL LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:
   A.   As an alternative to the required licensing for individual animals in town, a kennel license may be applied for and issued when an applicant breeds, harbors, or keeps more than three (3) dogs for a commercial use with an associated town business license. The following conditions must be met before the permit will be issued:
      1.   A current and associated town business license must have been issued to the applicant.
      2.   A written application for a kennel license shall be submitted by the applicant to the town clerk, and the application shall include, but is not limited to, the name, street address and mailing address of the applicant, the number of dogs currently at the facility and the maximum number of dogs the facility is anticipating;
      3.   Proof of current rabies vaccines for all animals currently at the applicant's facility shall be submitted with the application;
      4.   A completed adjacent neighbor notification form must be submitted by the applicant, one time only, to the town clerk to be kept on file, and this step may be exempted for a kennel license renewal; and
      5.   Payment of fifty dollars ($50.00) must accompany the kennel license application to the town clerk.
   B.   Failure to comply with this section may result in the kennel license being revoked after a properly noticed and lawful due process hearing before the Ennis town commission. (Ord. 137, 12-8-2011)
