9-12-9: COMMERCIAL USE OF MOBILE HOMES:
   A.   Temporary Permit For Builders, Demonstrations, Exhibitions:
      1.   Builders, subdividers, exhibitors and others who desire to use mobile homes or travel trailers temporarily at certain locations for field offices, demonstrations, and exhibitions of certain equipment therein or for charitable purposes may do so upon the issuance of a temporary mobile home or travel trailer permit issued by the director of finance upon order of the building official.
      2.   The sale of any items from any home or travel trailer used in conjunction with any demonstration or exhibition, except for charitable purposes, shall be prohibited.
      3.   The fee for the permit shall be as provided in subsection 2-6B-12A of this code and shall be payable to the director of finance. The permit shall be issued for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days and shall be subject to renewal by approval of the building official and the payment of the appropriate fees.
      4.   The building official shall order the issuance or denial of the permit within five (5) working days of the filing of the application. Charitable and nonprofit organizations are exempt from said fee.
   B.   Water And Sewer Connections: Where placement of a mobile home or travel trailer is contemplated for employee occupancy for a period of time greater than thirty (30) days, water and sanitary sewer connections shall be installed unless such connections are not required by section 8-3A-5 of this code.
   C.   Occupancy And Use Restrictions:
      1.   Caretakers, custodians, night watchmen and other bona fide employees or persons using mobile homes or travel trailers for commercial or industrial purposes as herein set forth may, when required by the nature of their employment, occupy such mobile homes as residences for themselves and their families; provided, that no more than one mobile home may be used for such purposes by any commercial or industrial enterprise on property of thirty (30) acres or less.
      2.   Additional mobile homes as required for the purposes herein set forth may be thereafter situated on land held by single or common ownership; provided, that no more than one mobile home may be so situated for each additional thirty (30) acres of property. Nothing herein shall be construed to permit the placement of a mobile home on any tract of land that comprises an existing structure presently being used as a residence.
      3.   Nothing herein shall be construed to permit the establishment of any public enterprise other than those herein provided.
   D.   Location In Mobile Home Parks Prohibited: No repair facility or home business of any kind shall be permitted, authorized, maintained or allowed within a mobile home park.
   E.   Sale Of Mobile Homes: The commercial sale of mobile homes within a mobile home park or in conjunction with the maintenance and operation of a mobile home park shall be conducted only on land that has been appropriately zoned in which such sales are permitted. (1994 Code § 19-7)
