8-1-14: SEWER SERVICE RATES AND CHARGES 1 :
   A.   Definitions: The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this section, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this subsection, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:
    BUSINESS UNIT: Any building or structure, or part thereof, other than a single or multiple dwelling unit.
   CHARGING UNIT: 1. Each occupied single-family dwelling.
      2.   Each unit designed to be occupied and used by one or more persons for living and cooking together in a multiple dwelling or apartment or apartment hotel, where at least one of the living units is occupied.
      3.   Each licensed lot for a mobile home or trailer coach in a mobile home park or in a trailer court.
      4.   Each commercial establishment or premises other than subsection 2 or 3 in this definition.
   COMMERCIAL USER: Shall mean and include, but not be limited to, a person, firm, company or corporation conducting a business, buying and selling of goods, or offering a service not necessarily for monetary reimbursement, including hotels, motels, churches and schools, but excluding dwelling units.
   MULTIPLE DWELLING UNIT: A building or structure, or part thereof, constructed and designed for the convenience and occupancy of more than one family.
   SINGLE DWELLING UNIT: A building or structure, or part thereof, constructed and designed for the convenience and occupancy of a single family.
   TOILET STOOL: A flush type toilet connected to the sanitary sewer line and used principally for the disposal of human excreta.
   B.   Service Charges:
      1.   There are hereby fixed and established for the use of the sanitary sewers by charging units within the city the monthly charges provided in section 2-6E-6 of this code.
      2.   All users of the city sewer system having connections without the corporate limits of the city shall be charged the fees provided in section 2-6E-7 of this code. The city does not obligate itself to furnish sanitary service to any person whomsoever, but will furnish such service as it is reasonably within its financial and physical ability so to do.
