A. Loading Or Unloading Of Trucks: In one-way alleys vehicles shall stop to load or unload only on the left side of the alley. Trucks shall be permitted to cross the street from one alley to another alley; all vehicles using the street shall have the right of way over any truck or vehicle crossing from one alley to another alley and any truck so crossing shall yield the right of way.
B. Blocking Alley: No vehicle shall stop in an alley for the purpose of loading or unloading in such manner as to block the alley to other traffic. A vehicle may park in an alley only for the purpose of, and while actually engaged in, unloading or loading merchandise.
C. Crossing Sidewalks: All vehicles, upon leaving an alley, shall come to a stop before crossing the sidewalk or place usually used by pedestrians for walking. All pedestrians shall have the right of way over any vehicle leaving an alley. (1994 Code § 20-269)
