6-4-12: RESTRICTIONS ON USE OF CONTROLLED ACCESS ROADWAY 1 :
The mayor and board of commissioners on the basis of an engineering and traffic investigation, may, with respect to any controlled access roadway under the city's jurisdiction, prohibit the use of any such roadway by pedestrians, bicycles or other nonmotorized traffic or by any person operating a motor driven cycle. Official signs shall be erected and maintained on the controlled access roadway on which such regulations are applicable, and when so erected no person shall disobey the restrictions stated on such signs. A violation of this section that does not result in collision or injury to either person or property shall have a maximum penalty of one hundred dollars ($100.00) plus costs. A violation of this section that does result in collision or injury to either person or property shall have a maximum penalty of two hundred dollars ($200.00) plus costs. (Ord. 2014-17, 5-6-2014)
