6-2-7: ELUDING POLICE OFFICER 1 :
No operator of a motor vehicle who has received a visual and audible signal, a red light and a siren from a police officer driving a motor vehicle showing it to be an official police, sheriff or highway patrol car directing the said operator to bring his vehicle to a stop shall wilfully increase his speed or extinguish his lights or in any other manner attempt to elude such police officer. A violation of this section shall have a maximum penalty of seven hundred fifty dollars ($750.00) plus costs. (Ord. 2014-06, 1-23-2014)
