The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this chapter, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:
IMPOUND LOT: Any yard, premises, or tract of land upon which impounded vehicles are stored.
IMPOUNDED VEHICLES: Any vehicle which has been towed or otherwise moved to an impound lot.
NONOPERATING VEHICLE: Any vehicle the certificate of title to which has been canceled, or which has been wholly or partially dismantled or is kept for the purpose of dismantling, selling, wrecking or using parts therefrom, or which is in such a condition that it will not operate and is not intended to be made operational as a motor vehicle.
SALVAGE: Any nonoperating motor vehicle or part thereof.
SALVAGE YARD: Any yard, premises, or tract of land in or upon which salvage is stored or maintained, for business or commercial use or in connection therewith. (Ord. 2015-14, 4-7-2015)
