3-8-8: 911 DISPATCHING PROCEDURE:
   A.   More Than One Licensee; Preference: When the dispatcher receives an emergency call for an ambulance, he shall authorize and dispatch an approved ambulance service. If there is more than one ambulance service, the police dispatcher shall use the call distribution method approved by resolution of the mayor and board of commissioners. If there is more than one licensed ambulance service and the caller prefers to use a particular ambulance service, the police dispatcher shall authorize and dispatch that ambulance service.
   B.   Private Sick Call: If an ambulance service operator receives a private sick call which is of an emergency nature and desires to answer such call as an emergency call, the operator shall report to the police dispatcher such call. The police dispatcher shall then clear such ambulance service to answer such private sick call. (Ord. 2015-06, 2-3-2015)
