The fee required by section 8-1-12 of this code shall be one hundred dollars ($100.00), plus the applicable thousand gallon charge for water used for the first month of service. Until the meter is returned to the city, second and subsequent months shall be charged a monthly fire hydrant meter rental fee of fifty dollars ($50.00), plus the applicable thousand gallon charge.
