Sidewalks shall be required on both sides of the street and in all required public pedestrian walkways in all residential subdivisions. Public sidewalks shall be required for all commercial lots. Public sidewalks may be required for industrial lots, subject to the approval of the Planning Commission.
All sidewalks shall be constructed in accordance with such standards for design and construction as Council may adopt. Sidewalk improvements shall be carried out under City supervision within the time fixed or agreed upon by the City Engineer. All inspection costs shall be paid for by the subdivider.
