Easements at least twenty feet in width centered along rear lot lines and ten feet in width centered along side lot lines shall be provided along such lot lines where it is necessary to provide for sanitary sewers, water mains, gas mains, electric lines and other services. Where it is not feasible to center the easements on lot lines, the location of such easements shall be approved by the City Engineer and the easements shall be at least ten feet in width. Wider easements may be required when conditions warrant, as determined by the City Engineer.
Such easements shall be dedicated to the use of any person for the purposes of installing and/or maintaining utilities within the easement. Use of such easements shall not be limited to the owner of the land within which the easement exists.
