The Human Services Director shall perform the following functions:
(a) Oversee the daily operation of the Earl Heck Community Center;
(b) Coordinate and schedule use of the Community Center for recreation, classes, meetings and parties;
(c) Organize, supervise, and participate in the Northmont Rent-A-Kid Program; recruit and train participants, receive requests for Rent-A-Kid workers and assign workers to jobs;
(d) Organize recreational and educational classes for various age groups at the Community Center, arrange for instructors and collect registration fees;
(e) Organize, supervise and participate in special programs for various age groups at the Community Center;
(f) Supervise activities of visitors during periods of open recreation at the Community Center;
(g) Schedule use of the City's baseball diamonds and soccer fields;
(h) Act as the City's representative to the Montgomery County Council on Aging and the Miami Valley Parks and Recreation Association;
(i) Promote use of the Community Center by the general public for private parties and meetings;
(j) Aid senior citizens in obtaining social services and available through other private or government agencies; and
(k) Perform such other duties as the City Manager may prescribe.
