The Department of Community and Economic Development shall be under the direction of the Director of Community and Economic Development who shall be named by the City Manager and who shall perform duties as set forth in these Codified Ordinances and as directed by the City Manager. The Director shall be responsible for formulating policies and implementing strategies related to the long and short-range physical development of the City, including the administration of planning, code enforcement, community development and economic development activities.
