The Utilities Maintenance Section shall be under the direction of the Utilities Maintenance Supervisor, who shall be appointed from time to time by the City Manager and who shall be accountable to the Superintendent of Utilities. The Utilities Maintenance Section shall have the following functions:
(a) Operate, maintain and repair the water distribution system of the City, including the buildings used by the same and the valves, meters, tanks and fire hydrants, and distribute water through such system as pumped by the City from its wells to the residents, hydrants and other places where such water is used;
(b) Maintain accurate records of all operations, including quantities of water sold to consumers, and make available to the Department of Finance the information necessary to render invoices to customers for water used and services rendered;
(c) Operate, maintain and repair the sanitary sewers of the City, including pumping stations and other appurtenances;
(d) Furnish, operate and maintain for all City buildings and installations the necessary pipe, fixtures and services necessary to water sewage;
(e) Perform other duties required by the Superintendent of Utilities or the Director of Service; and
(f) Submit reports to the Superintendent of Utilities, the Director of Service, or the City Manager, as required or requested.
