The Division of Maintenance shall be under the direction of the Superintendent of Maintenance, who shall be accountable to the Director of Service. There may be one or more foremen under the direction of the Superintendent. The Division shall perform the following functions:
(a) Maintain, repair, construct, improve and extend the public streets and storm sewerage systems of the City;
(b) Erect, construct, apply and maintain all street signs and traffic control signs and markings within the public rights of way;
(c) Perform other duties required by the Director of Service or the City Manager;
(d) Maintain and operate all cemeteries under the control of the City;
(e) Maintain accurate records of all operations, including plat maps, ownership of lots and interments;
(f) Submit reports to the Director of Service or the City Manager as required or requested;
(g) Provide for necessary services in connection with burials;
(h) Furnish custodial service for all buildings owned and operated by the City, the responsibility for which custodial services is not specifically allocated to some other department, division or section;
(i) Maintain and repair all buildings and grounds owned and operated by the City, the responsibility for which maintenance and repair is not specifically allocated to some other department, division or section; and
(j) Maintain and repair all equipment owned and operated by the City, the responsibility for which maintenance and repair is not specifically allocated to some other department, division or section.
