240.04 AUXILIARY POLICE OFFICERS.
   (a)   Establishment. There is hereby established the office of auxiliary police officer of the City, which office may be filled, from time to time, with as many persons in each capacity as the City Manager and the Director of Police may find expedient.
   (b)   Appointment; Terms. The City Manager may, from time to time, appoint deputy auxiliary police officers in such numbers, as above stated, to serve at the pleasure of the City Manager. Such officers may be removed at any time from office without a hearing and without cause being stated, upon notice from the City Manager.
   (c)   Bond. Auxiliary police officers of the City shall post the same bond as regular police officers of the City, the bond to be paid for by the Municipality.
   (d)   Pension Fund; Rules and Regulations. Auxiliary police officers shall not be entitled to share in the Police Relief and Pension Fund of the State as they are not to be considered regular police officers and agents of the Municipality.
   Rules and regulations not in conflict with this section may be promulgated from time to time by the City Manager and the Director of Police, with the advice of Council, and such rules and regulations shall be binding upon all auxiliary police officers.
