240.03 DUTIES OF DIRECTOR OF POLICE.
   The Director of Police shall be in charge of the Police Department and of the personnel thereof. He or she shall be accountable to the City Manager and shall perform the following duties:
   (a)   Formulate and recommend to the Manager, for approval, policies, procedures, rules and regulations for the government and operation of the Department and its personnel;
   (b)   Be responsible for the performance by the Department of the duties assigned to it by Council, by State law, by these Codified Ordinances or by the City Manager;
   (c)   Have control of the assignment of all personnel within the Department;
   (d)   Provide for the training and instruction of personnel within the Department; and
   (e)   Perform such other duties as the City Manager may prescribe.
