(a) The salary of the Mayor shall be three thousand dollars ($3,000.00) per year. This salary shall be effective from and after December 1, 2007.
(b) The salary of Council members shall be two thousand dollars ($2,000.00) per year. This salary shall be effective from and after December 1, 2007.
(c) The Mayor and Council members shall be paid in equal monthly installments, except that no salary shall be paid for an unexcused absence. Eighty-three dollars ($83.00) for Council members and one hundred-twenty five dollars ($125.00) for the Mayor shall be forfeited for each unexcused absence.
