The Director of the Department of Law shall be an attorney licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio. He shall perform such duties as may be assigned to the office of City Solicitor by general law, as well as those imposed by the administrative code and this Charter. The Director shall be appointed by the Manager with the approval of the Council, on a full-time or part-time basis as determined by the Manager. He need not be or become a resident of the Municipality.
