(A) The Planning and Zoning Commission shall elect a chairperson and any other officers which it deems necessary from its citizen members. Their term of office shall be one year with eligibility for re-election. The Commission may employ a staff as it deems necessary for its work and may contract with professional planners and other parties for such services as it may require.
(B) The Henry County Fiscal Court does hereby retain the final authority to approve all salaries, wages, expenses, or contracts made or to be paid by the Joint Planning and Zoning Commission to any person, firm, or corporation working for the Commission on either a full or part-time basis. Said approval shall be sought prior to the contract or expenditure.
(C) The Fiscal Court reserves this authority because it shall be primarily responsible for the funding of the joint planning unit on an annual basis. Fundings on the joint planning unit shall be as follows:
Henry Fiscal Court 75%
City of Eminence 12%
City of Campbellsburg 4%
City of New Castle 4%
City of Pleasureville 4%
City of Smithfield 1%
