§ 152.02 PURPOSE; ESTABLISHMENT OF JOINT PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION.
   (A)   It is hereby agreed, by the Fiscal Court of Henry County, Kentucky, and the duly ordained legislative bodies of the cities of New Castle, Eminence, Campbellsburg, Smithfield, and Pleasureville in order to accomplish the maximum economic, fiscal, and social welfare in a coordinated and harmonious development of land, buildings, and transportation fields that a Joint Planning and Zoning Commission is hereby created and established as authorized by the Kentucky Revised Statutes and other applicable laws, and same shall be organized and empowered as set forth in this chapter.
   (B)   The Joint Planning and Zoning Commission shall be known as the Henry County, New Castle, Eminence, Campbellsburg, Smithfield, and Pleasureville Joint Planning and Zoning Commission. Upon appointment and approval of its members, election by it of officers, and its adoption of by-laws, its existence shall begin, subject to the provisions of KRS Chapter 100. The Commission may engage in planning and zoning operations within its jurisdiction which shall be coterminous with the political boundaries of the members of this joint planning unit.
