§ 151.026 ABANDONING A VEHICLE.
   (A)   A person is guilty of abandoning a vehicle when, he or she:
      (1)   Abandons a vehicle on property that is not his or her own without immediately obtaining written permission of the property owner; or
      (2)   Leaves a vehicle on any public property within the city under such circumstances as to cause such vehicle reasonably to appear to have been abandoned.
   (B)   It shall be prima facie evidence that a vehicle is abandoned if the vehicle remains in violation of division (A)(1) or (2) of this section for a period in excess of seven hours.
   (C)   Any vehicle found in violation of this section may be removed by the owner or constructive owner of such property, by causing the same to be towed to an impound lot by any bona fide wrecker service.
   (D)   Any vehicle found in violation of division (A)(2) of this section may be removed by the Police Department, by causing the same to be towed to an impound lot by any bona fide wrecker service.
