(A) The Volunteer Fire Department shall operate pursuant to rules and regulations promulgated by the Volunteer Fire Department and approved by the Mayor and City Council.
(B) Each volunteer firefighter for the city shall be reimbursed $5 per fire drill or meeting attended to a maximum of one meeting per week.
(C) Additionally, each volunteer firefighter for the city shall be reimbursed $10 per non-working fire attended, e.g. car fire, trash fire, one that is extinguished before arrival; or small fire as adjudged by the Fire Department Commissioner.
(D) Additionally, each volunteer firefighter for the city shall be reimbursed $10 per working fire attended.
(E) Volunteer firefighters shall not be construed as employees of the city. Reimbursement shall be considered as reimbursed expenses, not compensation.
