§ 111.20 NUMBER OF LICENSES WHICH MAY BE ISSUED.
Minnesota state law establishes the number of liquor licenses that a city may issue, under the provisions of M.S. Ch. 340A, as it may be amended from time to time. The number of liquor licenses which may be granted under this chapter is limited to three on-sale liquor licenses and four off-sale liquor licenses. The Council is not required to issue the full number of liquor licenses the city has available. If a larger number of liquor licenses is allowed by Minnesota statute, a referendum may be held under the provisions of M.S. § 340A.413, Subd. 3.
