The city council shall have authority, under Nevada Revised Statutes 266.285 to make and enter into such contracts as may be necessary, convenient or proper with respect to water service to improved property outside the territorial limits of the city and with respect to the payment of proper charges for such service, which shall in no case be less than the rates established for users within the city. No such contract shall impair the ability of the water department to properly serve its customers within the city. (Ord. 674, 5-12-2016)
