No person shall park a vehicle in the Ely City Park between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. except that the following may be allowed as approved in writing by the Ely Recreation Commission:
1. Construction equipment or vehicles related to approved maintenance or construction projects.
2. Vehicles related to a community or sport event, festival or similar activity approved by the Recreation Commission.
No person shall park, abandon, or leave unattended any vehicle on any public street, alley, or City-owned off-street parking area during any snow emergency proclaimed by the Mayor unless the snow has been removed or plowed from said street, alley or parking area and the snow has ceased to fall. A snow emergency parking ban shall continue from its proclamation through the duration of the snow or ice storm and the 48-hour period after cessation of the storm except as above provided upon streets which have been fully opened. The ban shall be of uniform application and the Mayor is directed to publicize the requirements widely, using all available news media, in early November each year. When predictions or occurrences indicate the need, the Mayor shall proclaim a snow emergency and the Mayor shall inform the news media to publicize the proclamation and the parking rules under the emergency. Such emergency may be extended or shortened when conditions warrant.

It is unlawful to park a boat trailer or utility trailer (loaded or unloaded), or unoccupied motor home, or travel or camping trailer, on any public street, alley, or place for a period of time in excess of 48 hours. Upon application to the City Hall, emergency or temporary parking for occupied travel trailers, campers, and motor homes may be permitted at designated locations on public streets, alleys, or any other public or private place for a three-day period, subject to extended time of up to three days upon reapplication, and subject to any other prohibitions or regulations imposed by traffic and parking ordinances of the City.
