§ 150.039 PRELIMINARY SUBDIVISION APPLICATION - EFFECT OF APPROVAL AND EFFECTIVE PERIOD.
   (A)   The approval of a preliminary subdivision application, with or without requirements, by the City Council, shall not constitute a final approval of the subdivision by the city.
   (B)   The approval of a preliminary subdivision application shall not authorize the division or development of the subject property, but allows the applicant to proceed with the preparation of the final subdivision application for the subject property.
   (C)   The continuing validity of a preliminary subdivision application approval is conditioned upon the applicant proceeding after approval to implement the approval with reasonable diligence.
   (D)   For the purposes of this chapter and this section, the approval of a preliminary subdivision application shall be effective for a period of 180 days from the date of approval by the City Council. At the end of that period, the applicant shall have submitted a final subdivision application to the City Recorder.
   (E)   If a final subdivision application is not received by the City Recorder within 180 days from the date of approval of the preliminary subdivision application, the approval for the subdivision of the subject property shall be rendered void and invalid.
