For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
CERTIFICATE OF INSPECTION. The written approval from the Health Officer or his, her, or their authorized representative that said tattooing establishment has been inspected and meets all of the terms of this subchapter relating to physical facilities, equipment, and layout for operation of such business.
CITY TATTOO INSPECTOR. The inspector, appointed by the city, who shall have charge over inspecting tattoo establishments to ensure compliance with the provisions of this part.
HEALTH OFFICER. The city’s Health Officer from the Bear River Department of Health.
OPERATOR. Any individual, firm, company, corporation, or association that owns or operates an establishment where tattooing is performed, and any individual who performs or practices the art of tattooing on the person of another.
TATTOO, TATTOOED, TATTOOING. Any method of placing designs, letters, scrolls, figures, symbols or any other marks upon or under the skin with ink or any other substance resulting in the coloration of the skin by the aid of needles or any other instruments designed to touch or puncture the skin.
