Every person convicted of a misdemeanor for a violation of any provision of this chapter for which another penalty is not provided shall for the first conviction be punished by a fine of not less than $150 nor more than $850; for a second such conviction within one year thereafter, such person shall be punished by a fine of not less than $225 nor more than $950; and for a third or subsequent conviction within one year after the first conviction, such person shall be punished by a fine of not less than $300 nor more than $1,100.
