§ 96.21 ADOPTION OF NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED CODES.
   Pursuant to the authority granted in ILCS Ch. 50, Act 220, §§ 0.01 et seq., there is hereby adopted by the Board of Trustees, for the purpose of prescribing regulations governing conditions hazardous to life and property from fire or explosion, and for the prevention and control of fire, those certain codes known as the Boca National Fire Prevention Code, 1996, (Hereinafter, “BFPC”), and the BOCA National Property Maintenance Code, 1996. The provisions of the aforesaid codes are incorporated herein by reference and are further clarified in this subchapter. Three copies of the aforesaid codes have been on file for at least 15 days prior to the adoption hereof and are now on file in the office of the Village Clerk of the village, and have been there kept available for public use, inspection and examination, and the same are hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out at length herein. From the date on which this subchapter shall take effect, the provisions of the aforesaid codes as clarified by this subchapter shall be controlling within the corporate limits of the village.
