§ 92.18 NUMBERING SYSTEM.
   All lots, buildings and structures in the village shall be numbered in accordance with the following plan as near as shall be practicable.
   (A)   Mississippi Street shall be the base line for streets running north and south, and numbers lying north or south shall be designated north or south as the case may be; Chicago Street shall be the base line for streets running east and west, and numbers lying east and west of this line shall be designated east or west as the case may be. The street direction from the baseline is required only for roadways that cross a base line.
   (B)   Even numbers shall be on the east and south sides of the streets. Odd numbers shall be on the north and west sides of the streets.
   (C)   Street numbering of circles shall be consecutive beginning at the end closest to the appropriate base line, with even numbers on the inside of the circle and odd numbers on the outside.
   (D)   (1)   All street numbers shall be assigned by the Village President or his or her designee.
      (2)   To avoid the misdirection of emergency personnel and vehicles and delay in their response to emergency situations, no one shall utilize any other designation for their property on any sign, street graphic or communication other than the official street number and street name assigned by the Village President or his or her designee.
