The annual fee to be paid for vehicle license shall be as follows:
(A) January 1 to February 14 inclusive:
(1) Motorcycle and passenger motor vehicle (non-freight carrying vehicles): $4.00.
(2) Freight carrying vehicles, or vehicles designed to carry goods or merchandise, material, campers or other articles as follows:
(a) Having a gross vehicle weight of 8,000 lbs. or less.: $9.00.
(b) Having a gross vehicle weight of 8,001 to 20,000 lbs.: $10.00.
(c) Having a gross vehicle weight of 20,001 to 41,000 lbs.: $12.00.
(d) Having a gross vehicle weight of 41,001 to 64,000 lbs.: $14.00.
(e) Having a gross vehicle weight of 64,001 to 73,280 lbs.: $16.00.
(B) On February 15 and thereafter of each year the said fee shall be as follows:
(1) Motorcycles and passer, per motor vehicle (non-freight carrying vehicles): $8.00.
(2) Freight carrying vehicles, or vehicles designed to carry goods or merchandise material, campers or other articles as follows:
(a) Having a gross vehicle weight of 8,000 lbs. or less: $16.00.
(b) Having a gross vehicle weight of 8,001 to 20,000 lbs.: $20.00.
(c) Having a gross vehicle weight of 20,001 to 41,000 lbs.: $24.00.
(d) Having a gross vehicle weight of 41,001 to 54,000 lbs.: $28.00.
(e) Having a gross vehicle weight of 64,001 to 73,280 lbs.: $32.00.
(C) Exceptions. A new resident of Elwood purchasing a vehicle tag for the first time after February 15 may purchase tag at the first of the year rate.
(D) Non-residence fee. Non-residence fee shall be same schedule of payment as above and shall be stamped as such (non-residence).
