§ 36.30 CUSTODY OF SEIZED OR FOUND PROPERTY.
   (A)   It shall be the duty of any police officer of the village to deliver to the Chief of Police or his or her designated officer all property seized or found by him or her immediately after the property shall come into his or her possession, which property, with the date of delivery, a description of the property, and the name of the officer, shall be entered into records to be kept for the purpose by Chief of Police or designated officer.
   (B)   The Chief of Police shall be the official custodian of all property coming into the control and possession of the Department.
