§ 36.05 CERTIFICATION OF OFFICERS UNDER STATE POLICE TRAINING STATUTE.
   (A)   The village hereby elects to participate in the training and certification program(s) provided for in the Illinois Police Training Act, ILCS Ch. 50, Act 705, §§ 1 et seq.
   (B)   Before an individual may commence regular employment as a police officer, he or she must have been certified by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board as having successfully completed an approved training course as provided in ILCS Ch. 50, Act 705, §§ 1 et seq.
   (C)   Such basic training must be completed by the trainee within the trainee’s first six months of the probationary period (see § 36.08).
