13A-55.2: CRITERIA FOR ALLOCATION OF CITY RESOURCES:
The decision whether to recommend a special event for allocation of city resources and the extent of funding provided by the city shall be based on how effectively the event satisfies the criteria listed below. An event that has been successfully held in the past and has satisfactorily complied with all special event requirements and conditions will be given priority over new events.
   A.   The event provides cultural and educational enrichment.
   B.   The event promotes economic vitality.
   C.   The event will enhance community identity and pride.
   D.   The event is open to the public and public participation is invited.
   E.   The event is sponsored by a nonprofit organization and at least fifty percent (50%) of all proceeds will go to a nonprofit organization.
   F.   The event will benefit the entire community.
   G.   The event will promote the image of the city of Eloy in a positive manner.
   H.   The event will be marketed and advertised throughout the entire area.
   I.   The event promotes family values and is the type of activity or entertainment appropriate for families.
   J.   The event qualifies for and is able to meet all the requirements and conditions for a special events permit.
   K.   The event does not duplicate a special event already sponsored by the city. (Ord. 01-512 § 2, 5-22-2001)
